Celebrating our 40th anniversary

Yewstock School opened on 6th September 1977 with 108 pupils. We celebrated our 40th anniversary on Thursday 14th June with a party for our pupils, staff and parents, as well as anyone who has been associated with the school over the last 40 years. Below are some photographs of the school being built in the 70s, and some of the fantastic 70s-inspired costumes that our pupils and staff wore.

 

 

Art competition

Mrs Haydon, our Head of Art, organised a competition to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, and both pupils and staff were able to enter. We had some beautiful and very creative work submitted. In assembly we announced the winners, pictured here, and they all received a prize. The artwork will be on display at The Exchange in Sturminster Newton from 4th June for two weeks.
