28th November Parents and Carers Evening 3.30 – 6.00 pm.

We strongly encourage all parents/carers to attend. Not only to speak to class staff to get all the information you need about their schooling and progress as well as events and information for the year ahead but also for all the other additional support avenues we have in place. This includes helping to plan for the future or getting the support you need now. We have a range of professionals for you to drop in and meet to ask any questions or just pick up a leaflet or website link, no appointment needed.

For year 10s, year 11s and post-16, this is a key meeting to ensure you have all the information from school to plan for your child to get to their next placement, college or sixth form. Including Jess Allen, Careers Advisor, and Dorset Council transition to adulthood representatives and Dorset Parent Carer Council available to answer your questions and help you plan. Please come along so that you receive the other events happening across the year, including trips and residentials, curriculum, the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award and expeditions and other important events and dates.

For those students leaving Yewstock at the end of this year, attendance at this parents evening is essential. The deadline date for applications to their next placement is in December.

Our first P-POD Café will be running at the same time (https://yewstock.dorset.sch.uk/p-pod-cafe/) to provide a wealth of additional help at Yewstock School and College. See below for details. You are welcome to visit either site.
